Dementia Friends session at Caesar Court, Deal

We’re hosting a free Dementia Friends session at Caesar Court, an Orbit Independent Living with extra care scheme in Deal, Kent, on Wednesday 25 January at 2pm.

The training, run by Jackie Tuppen, a retired admiralty nurse and specialist practitioner, will last for about an hour and is aimed at teaching you what it’s like to live with dementia and how you can help create dementia friendly communities.

A Dementia Friend then turns that understanding into action. Whether you attend a face-to-face Dementia Friends information session or watch their online video, Dementia Friends is about learning more about dementia and the small ways you can help.

The Dementia Friends website captures what people are helping to make life better for those living with dementia in their communities. Every action registered on the website helps Alzheimer’s Society to understand what Dementia Friends are doing to make life better for people affected by dementia.

There are limited spaces available, so please make sure to register your interest by contacting
