Orbit Heart of England has been announced as one of the six regional winners at the second annual HomeSwapper Star Landlord awards.
The awards celebrate those Registered Providers who have made the biggest gains by empowering and encouraging their tenants to swap homes through mutual exchange in six major regions across the UK. Orbit Heart of England was given the award for the Midlands region for completing more than 300 swaps in the last 12 months and registering more than 3,500 customers to the service.
Orbit Group has been a member of HomeSwapper since 2008. Kevin Hornsby, Head of Housing at Orbit Heart of England, said "We are delighted to receive this recognition from HomeSwapper and we look forward to working with them to maximise housing options for our customers. Mutual exchange is a great tool to create additional housing options for our customers, whilst empowering them to use digital services. This supports our 2020 vision around online services and compliments a new and exciting product we are setting up within Orbit (Orbit Move) which delivers one single digital and interactive tenancy sign-up process."
Mutual Exchange services allow tenants to swap homes with another social housing resident. Any Council or Housing Association tenant can swap homes with any other in the UK, providing they have the right to mutual exchange and it is agreed by the landlord.
