A planning application for the second phase of the regeneration of Erith Park has been submitted by Orbit South to the London Borough of Bexley.
The £60m proposal will see the continued regeneration of Erith Park, which will include 244 brand new homes for local people, a community centre and a new home for the community nursery.
Erith Park will provide a range of rental and home ownership options to meet people’s needs and aspirations, with 80 per cent of the homes being affordable homes for local people. A decision on planning is expected in early 2015 and start on site is Spring 2015.
A public exhibition of the planning application drawings will be held on Saturday 22 November from 11am to 2pm at 4 Corhaven House, Larner Road, Erith, DA8 3RH and anyone who is interested, is invited to attend. Public consultation was held in August and was well received by the local community.
Vivien Knibbs, Orbit South Executive Director, said: “We are pleased to be moving forward with phase two of Erith Park and look forward to building on the success we have achieved so far with phase one. We have been working closely with our customers and stakeholders to shape the Erith Park into an inclusive community and transform the high-rise blocks into a neighbourhood of streets, gardens and public space.”
Phase one at Erith Park is nearing completion with the first homes being ready in December. The marketing of the new homes at Erith Park is a joint venture between Orbit Homes and Wates Living Space.
