Our structure

As one of the UK’s largest developing housing associations, Orbit has 50 years’ experience providing more than 40,000 quality, affordable homes and a range of advice and support services to over 100,000 people across the midlands, east and south.

Orbit is the umbrella organisation for the housing association, development and services parts of the business.

Orbit Structure Chart

The Customer Services Directorate is the largest of our five business areas, bringing together our Housing Operations, Property Services, Independent Living and Commercial Services.

Property Investment is the development and sales arm of the organisation responsible for building around 1,700 a year for rent and sale. 

Corporate Services offers a full range of back office functions, and specialist support to external clients through Service Matters. Corporate Services also includes our Help to Buy agents

Behind the scenes, the People Directorate provides support, insight and strategic services to the whole business.

Our executive team, headed by Mark Hoyland - Chief Executive, is responsible for the day-to-day running of the business. They also responsible for its success, and reports to the Orbit Group board and divisional boards. Orbit’s board chair is Baroness Tessa Blackstone. Our leadership team is made up of the top 21 managers in the business and is responsible for providing further expertise to lead Orbit and its staff.
