Chris is involved in residential property development as a Consultant within the house-building industry advising major landowners on the practical aspects of planning and delivery. Clients of his Company Kingsgate Property Consultants include private estates, public bodies and institutions, all of which are actively engaged in the promotion and construction of large-scale residential-led housing schemes. Chris spent 28 exciting years with Countryside Properties Plc and as a Director was involved with many of their highly-acclaimed projects, most notable of which was ‘Accordia’ in Cambridge, the first housing scheme in the UK to win the Stirling Prize for Architecture. He has chaired the working group which co-produced the RICS research paper on Placemaking which was published in 2016, and is a member of the RICS Planning and Development Group Professional Board.
