About this Project
The Suffolk Switched On Project offers on-going home assessment advice and support to those that might be at risk of fuel poverty or debt. We are working in partnership with various individuals and organisations to help ensure that should a household need additional support by way of boiler replacement, insulation, or financial payments, we are able to signpost quickly and effectively.
For the next three months, we will be concentrating on recruiting 10 mentors to help deliver the home assessments in Sudbury, Haverhill, Lowestoft and Ipswich,.
A four day training course over a period of four weeks, City & Guilds accreditation, with the possibility of further ‘PTLLS’ (preparing to teach in Lifelong Learning sector) training for the successful four individuals wishing for a career in the Adult lifelong learning. Volunteer/Mentor work two to four hours per month undertaking home assessments by using the new knowledge and training received.
To recruit 10 mentors/Volunteers in each area of Haverhill, Sudbury, Ipswich & Lowestoft to help undertake home assessmentsGoal 1
