New homes offer independent living to Deal’s over 55s

Orbit Homes, in association with Orbit Independent Living, is inviting the residents of Dover and beyond to an information day about its new £11.9m independent living with care scheme in Deal.

The Caesar Court development, due to be completed in Autumn 2015, will provide 81 ultra-modern new homes to those aged 55 and over. Offering a mix of one and two bedroom apartments for affordable rent and shared ownership, the scheme will also boast a range of additional facilities including a coffee shop, restaurant and hairdressers, open to both customers at Caesar Court and the local community.

Whilst emphasising and supporting independent living in a community environment, Caesar Court will also provide those who need it with state-of-the-art care in the comfort of their own home.

Kerry Smith at Orbit Independent Living said: “We’d like to invite anyone who is interested in finding out more about Caesar Court to come along to our information day, where myself and other representatives from Orbit Independent Living, Orbit Homes and our partner organisations will be on hand to talk about the features and benefits of independent living homes, and the different options to rent or buy (shared ownership). We’re really looking forward to having a cup of tea with local people while chatting about what our exciting new homes have to offer.”

Located on Mongeham Road, Caesar Court was crowned as so following a competition held at the neighbouring school, Hornbeam Primary School, to name the development. It has received over £2million funding from the Homes and Communities Agency, and is being constructed by Denne a Construction, a Bouygues-UK company, on behalf of Orbit Homes. Once completed, Orbit South will take over the on-going management of the scheme.

The information day is being held on Tuesday 18 August at The Auditorium, Astor Community Theatre, Stanhope Road (off the High Street), Deal, CT14 6AD. There are two sessions available: one in the morning at 10am, and one in the afternoon at 2pm. No need to book, just pop along.
