Orbit Group’s Customer Service Centre gave Pudsey a helping hand on Friday 20 November, as 70 staff took to the phones to answer over 650 calls for Children in Need.
Staff from the Group’s Midlands offices volunteered to man the phones and took £29,675 in pledges from the public.
It wasn’t just the phone operators that were popping on the Pudsey ears, staff from across the Group had been busy baking cakes, holding raffles and donning fancy dress to raise over £872 for the worthy cause.
Even the Group’s Chief Executive, Paul Tennant, raised £62 when staff sponsored him to do 50 press-ups and a cartwheel!
Paul said, “This is the ninth year running that Orbit Group has volunteered its call centre services. There was a fantastic atmosphere on the night and we’re all proud to have helped make a difference to disadvantaged children in the UK.”
