Young Leaders 2012 – our success!

24 Housing magazine's Young Leaders campaign 2012 celebrates the young talent within the housing sector and this year Orbit has not one, but two staff members in the top 30!

Congratulations to Hannah Spriggs, HR Support Centre Manager, and Frances Herman-Squance, Corporate Communications Manager, who placed 13th and 20th respectively.

Frances Herman-Squance said: “I am really pleased to have made the top 30 shortlisting – it was a surprise to see my name in the magazine as I didn’t know I had been entered!”

This is a great achievement for the individuals and for Orbit; only one other association had more than one staff member in the final 30 shortlisting.Hannah Spriggs said: “My initial reaction to finding out I was in the top 30 was complete surprise. When it had sunk in a little I felt honoured, especially reading the information about the other people in the shortlist as there are a lot of people who have done great things. The thing that made me feel most proud was the fact that my team were in agreement with the nomination as they are the true test of my leadership.

“I am fortunate that in the five years I have worked at Orbit, I have been encouraged and developed continuously including through the Managing the Business Stream leadership course. I have been trusted with amazing opportunities to progress but this has always been coupled with support, from leaders at all levels who really seem to care.”

The Young Leaders 2012 supplement is out with this month's edition of 24 Housing magazine.
